Coconut Bliss Protein Bites
Makes 36 Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup quick cooking gluten free oatmeal (in Canada sold as wheat -free)
- 1 cup Cuisine Camino unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup Cuisine Camino dark chocolate chips (bittersweet 71%)
- 4 tablespoons of Cuisine Camino unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¾ cup of unsweetened almond butter or peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons of organic extra virgin coconut oil melted
- 4 tablespoons of ground almonds, hemp seeds or brown rice protein
- 1/2 cup ground flax seed
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Moisten hands and form into balls and roll into the desired goodness.
If you find the mixture is not sticking together, add a bit more honey and nut butter.
Tip: Roll these in flaked coconut, cocoa powder or crushed almonds and drizzle melted dark chocolate.
